Polly Cooper is a mum of two girls called Debbie and Milly. Here is what she says about them.

“Debbie and Milly are so different. Debbie is 15. She is a shy girl. She enjoys doing things by herself, and doesn’t like to talk and play with others. Also, she is so selfish(自私的) than Milly. It’s difficult to ask her to share her things with others. But Debbie has her good points(优点)too. Schoolwork is easier for Debbie, so her exam results(结果) are better. She is also good at dancing and wants to be a dancer in the future.

“Milly has bigger problems with her schoolwork. She doesn’t like studying and doesn’t spend much time on it, so her exam result are usually worse. But maybe because Milly is two years older than Debbie, she is a little more mature(成熟).

“I worry about Milly because she isn’t sure about her future. She doesn’t know what she wants

To do when she leaves school. But I worry about Debbie more because she isn’t as happy as Milly.  I think parents never stop worrying about their kids and I’ll be sad when they leave home.”
