       I’m sorry to tell you that I’ve lost your book that I borrowed from you. Now I’m expressing my deepest apology for my carelessness.

       Actually, I put the book in my schoolbag after we met at school yesterday. But to my sorrow, it was stolen on my way home. I tried o get it back but failed. How angry and guilty I felt!
