Ways to Deal with Moody(喜怒无常的) People

Surviving the ups, downs, and lightning storms of other people’s moodiness can be quite a challenge.   36

1. Move on without them.

If you are suffering because of their attitude, and your patience doesn’t seem to help, then ask yourself, “Do I need this person in my life?”    37

2. Speak up!

38     Some people will do anything for their own personal gain at the expense of others—cut in line, take money and property, and pass guilt, etc. Most of these people know they’re doing the wrong thing and will back down quickly when opposed. In most social settings people tend to keep quiet until one person speaks up, so SPEAK UP.

3. Put your foot down.

Your dignity may be attacked, but it can never be taken away unless you willingly give it up.    39    Truly moody people will pollute everyone around them, including you if you allow them. If you’ve tried reasoning with them and they aren’t changing , don’t hesitate to drive them away or just keep away from them.

4.      40

Remember, there is a huge amount of freedom that comes to you when you take nothing personally. Most moody people behave negatively not just to you, but to everyone they interact with. Even when the situation seems personal—even if you feel directly insulted —it usually has nothing to do with you. What they say and do, and the opinions they have, are based entirely on their own self-reflection.

A. Don’t take their moody behavior personally.

B. Stop pretending their moody behavior is all right.

C. It’s all about finding the strength to defend your boundaries.

D. Be sympathetic with moody people who are suffering from an illness.

E. So how can you best manage the effects from moody people’s harmfulness?

F. You deserve to think peacefully, free from outside pressure and moody behavior.

G. When you delete those people from your environment it becomes a lot easier to breathe.
